DMP Announces Hanwha VMS Integration, New Bluetooth Reader & Mobile Credential

Announced during ISC West, the integration allows dealers to log in to a Hanwha WAVE account within the Virtual Keypad app.

LAS VEGAS — DMP made a number of announcements during ISC West this week. First up, DMP is partnering with Hanwha to give customers another Cloud-to-Cloud video solution with the integration of Hanwha WAVE with DMP’s Virtual Keypad app.

This integration allows dealers to log in to a Hanwha WAVE account within the Virtual Keypad app. When the DMP panel goes into alarm, users will be able to view all of their connected Hanwha video devices and manage their security systems.

“We’re very pleased and excited about this partnership,” says Mark Hillenburg, vice president of marketing for DMP. “With the Hanwha integration, dealers now have the ability to offer a comprehensive security and video solution using Hanwha’s Cloud-based services, and they get the security of storing the video offsite.”

DMP says Hanwha WAVE is a powerful software solution, opening up more new installation opportunities for dealers, particularly for large commercial video installations.

The company also announced the release of its SR3 Bluetooth & Proximity Reader for use with existing 125 kHz cards or via a mobile credential that’s deployed within the DMP Virtual Keypad app.

DMP’s SR3 Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and proximity reader gives customers an advanced access control solution with mobile credentials that are easy to manage virtually without having to ship, mail or deliver physical credentials, according to the company.

Once credentials are assigned, those users automatically receive an email with instructions on how to log in to Virtual Keypad to begin using their mobile credentials immediately.

“With this Bluetooth solution, you’ve got frictionless access control — the phone remains in your pocket for hassle-free entry,” says Hillenburg. “Users get the convenience they prefer, plus it creates an easy-to-deploy, one-time purchase mobile credential without all the hassle and expense of ongoing monthly costs.”

While this new SR3 reader capitalizes on advanced BLE technology, it also supports 125 kHz proximity credentials. This gives businesses the flexibility to gradually transition their readers to the newer technology while also accommodating employees with proximity credentials.

1100T/1100TF Wireless Translators

Prior to ISC West, DMP announced the release of the 1100T/1100TF Wireless Translators. The 1100T Wireless Translator — and for commercial and residential fire applications, the 1100TF Wireless Translator — feature a 24-hour standby battery backup.

With either device, security companies can easily take over one-way, low-frequency wireless transmitters and upgrade them to DMP panels, receivers and software management tools, according to the company.

DMP described the 1100T and 1100TF as the ultimate takeover and upgrade tools, specifically designed to translate:

  • Honeywell 5800 — 345 MHz
  • 2GIG Series — 345 MHz
  • Interlogix — 319.5 MHz
  • DSC — 433 MHz

While the 1100TF is UL listed for commercial and residential fire installations in accordance with NFPA 70 and NFPA 72, both devices deliver wireless compatibility with DMP’s XT, XTL or XR Series panels and all 1100 Series wireless receivers.

DMP’s Two-Way Wireless uses 900 MHz frequency-hopping spread-spectrum. This is said to ensure clear and accurate signal transmissions without interference in practically any environment. Both devices also offer Survey LED capabilities and communicate directly with the 1100 Receiver, allowing one person to confirm communication with the receiver or panel.
