SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — DMP has appointed Derric Roof to serve as the manufacturer’s Texas regional training manager. He will assume the role of Dustin Lewis, who has now moved to regional training manager for DMP’s vertical markets.
Roof’s career in electronic security began in 1982 as a prewire technician. Throughout his career, he has traveled extensively training and working on high-profile, high-security projects, according to an announcement.
Roof also spent more than 20 years working for a company that installed and serviced DMP as their primary product. Prior to joining DMP, he started his own subcontracting company in Arizona that worked with several alarm companies throughout the region.
About his new role with DMP, Roof says, “I missed my days teaching, and I’m extremely excited to be working with and training on a product that I’m passionate about.”
“With Derric’s varied product and industry knowledge, he will be a great asset to our Field Technical Training Team,” adds Director of Field Technical Training Tim Nissen.
