Digital Security Controls (DSC) says it has secured ISO 9001:2000 certification for equipment that includes the design and manufacture of electronic security controls, detection devices, communication and monitoring products.

UL verified DSC’s compliance after a successful ISO audit and issued the certificate of registration on Nov. 21 to the unit of Tyco Fire and Security.

“ISO 9001:2000 certification promotes a working-as-a-team environment where operational barriers are
removed to make way for processes that are customer, corporate and employee focused,” says Glen Brislan,
DSC director of operations. “By adhering to the principles of ISO 9001:2000
certification, we expect to maximize our business performance, streamline internal efficiencies, and increase
customer satisfaction and profitability.”

The ISO 9001:2000 designation is valid until Nov. 21, 2006 and focuses on management being aware of their responsibilities, dedication to improving the company’s quality system and increasing customer satisfaction.
