DSC Outlines Company Changes After Being Acquired by Tyco Fire & Security

Digital Security Controls Ltd. formerly announces it is now
part of Tyco Fire & Security, a division of Tyco Int’l.,
and outlines some company changes.

The company said recent in-house changes have included restructuring its sales team, reducing the size of territories and adding sales and support personnel. With the increased staff, DSC said it will be hosting more than 250 training events throughout the Americas within the next 12 months, and coordinating promotional events at distributor locations.

The company said it has also invested more than $3 million to enhance its Toronto manufacturing plant. The plant has been reorganized to focus on producing intrusion detection products.

In addition to the factory process changes, DSC has relocated the company’s “finished goods” warehouse from Lockport, N.Y., to Westminster, Mass.

“The company’s new owners support DSC’s approach to its market and have made it very clear that they have a mandate to grow the DSC business,” the company said in a statement.
