DVTel Combines With SAI in IP-Based Union

In a marriage of IP-based video and access control providers, DVTel Inc. has acquired access control-maker Security Applications Inc. (SAI). Terms of the deal, announced at ISC West, have not been released.

As part of the transaction, SAI’s operations will be transferred to DVTel’s home base in Fishkill, N.Y.

DVTel manufactures an open standards-based software and hardware platform that allows end users enables the end user to operate, monitor and administer video and other security functions remotely. SAI’s IP-based access control system includes PLC control, video badging, and visitor and alarm management.

The new, unified DVTel-SAI platform is better positioned to address the present and future video, access management, authentication, and business intelligence needs of our customers.”
