EAGLE WIRELESS REPORTS ITS FINANCIAL RESULTS SOARED IN FISCAL 2000

Eagle Wireless Intl. Inc. announces that its financial results for its fiscal year ended Aug. 31 indicate a significant improvement in its overall financial condition, including total assets, income, shareholders’ equity, net earnings and operating capital. Sales for the year ended Aug. 31 totaled $5.2 million, up $3 million, or 236 percent, from the same period in 1999. The increase can be attributed to the start of initial sales in Eagle’s new set-top box product line in the final quarter, as well as the continuing sales of cable and fiber-optic installation services from Atlantic Pacific and ComTel.

“This year, we began marketing our new convergent set-top box (CSTB) and multimedia products line, and we are continuing to work with a number of potential customers and technology partners in this area,” says Dr. H. Dean Cubley, president and CEO. Eagle Wireless is a supplier of broadband wired and wireless equipment and services for the Internet, multimedia set-top box, one- and two-way wireless messaging, specialized mobile radio, remote data acquisition and meter reading, and integrated wired and wireless convergence product markets.
