Electronic Control Systems’ president Geoffrey Winters
recently presented a Pawtucket, R.I., elementary school
with a carbon monoxide detection system from UltraGuard.
The school is the second in the state to receive a donated
system. An East Greenwich school had an UltraGuard system
installed last year.

Winters hopes this is the next step in protecting all of the school aged children in Rhode Island from carbon monoxide poisoning.

“Sadly, most at risk are small children. With their small lung capacity, carbon monoxide reaches deadly levels in their little bodies far faster than adults,” Winters says. “That’s why it is imperative to do more than sound an alarm in school corridors.”
