SimplexGrinnell is supporting a fire sprinkler installer from its San Francisco branch office as he fulfills a lifelong quest to conquer Mt. Everest.

If the ascent goes according to plan, Curt Myers, a pipe fitter who has worked for SimplexGrinnell since 1997, is expected to reach the summit of the world’s highest peak (29,035 feet) on May 19. An accomplished climber and highly regarded employee, Myers has already successfully tackled four of the Seven Summits – the highest points on each of the seven continents.

Before embarking on his 7,500-mile trek from San Francisco to Mt. Everest, Myers commented, “Climbing, hiking and mountaineering are my passions. I’m Thanks to the amazing support of my employer, my dream is now becoming a reality. I look forward to proudly raising the SimplexGrinnell flag at the top of the world.”

Myers’ climb team is composed of hiking enthusiasts from all across the globe, including people from the United States, Russia, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany and Armenia.
