ESA Offers Video System Technologies Training Course

Electronic Security Association’s (ESA) National Training School (NTS) is offering a comprehensive video surveillance training class that will help technicians, sales personnel and business owners “build a solid technical knowledge and a strong skill base in the fastest growing security technology category.”

The non brand-specific Video System Technologies (VST) course will focus on the functionality and application of all major equipment types, including analog and digital cameras, coaxial and fiber optic cabling, power over Ethernet (PoE), VCRs, DVRs and NVRs.

The 14-hour VST curriculum includes two extensive exercises, which culminate in an actual system design based on a given customers’ specifications and building plans. The course concludes with a two-hour examination.
