DALLAS – The Electronic Security Expo (ESX) has opened the entry period for its annual Innovation Awards.
Celebrating “trailblazers and groundbreaking advancements in the electronic security and life safety realms,” this program “highlights the technological brilliance that drives our industry forward,” according to the Electronic Security Association announcement.
The Innovation Awards will be handed out at ESX 2025 in Atlanta from June 16-19.

The ESX Innovation Awards “celebrate groundbreaking innovations that set new benchmarks in the electronic security and life safety industry.
Covering categories including access control and ID systems, cabling products and accessories, cybersecurity, intrusion systems, fire and life safety, video surveillance, these awards “honor products and services that enhance operational excellence,” the announcement says.
Submissions are now officially open and ESA will continue to welcome entries until April 18, 2025.
The Innovation Awards entries will be judged by a panel of industry professionals for the following criteria:
- Features and functions
- Innovation
- End-user experience
- Revenue growth potential
- Impact on company value and efficiencies
- Compliance with regulations
“The ESX Innovation Awards highlight the most advanced innovations in our industry,” says ESX chairman George De Marco in the announcement. “These pioneering products and services are crucial for driving efficiency and profitability.
“We congratulate the innovators shaping the future of security and life safety technology,” he says.
In addition to bragging rights, award winners will also headline an official ESX Innovation Awards press release. These trailblazers will also be considered for the high-stakes ESX Tech Vision Challenge, a “Shark Tank”-style live competition at ESX 2025.
Innovation Award Entry Qualifications:
- The product or service entered must fit within one of the official award categories.
- Product or service entered must be either new or field tested and made available to the market after Jan. 1, 2023, and prior to ESX 2025.
- Each company is solely responsible for the submittal process and presentation material.
