ETRUE PARTNERS WITH BIO4 TO COMBINE TECHNOLOGIES FOR ID CARDS

SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass.

eTrue, a facial biometric company, and Bio4, a biometric security company in the United Kingdom, announce a partnership in which eTrue will have its TrueFace 2D facial recognition technology integrated with Bio4’s 3D facial recognition and 2D bar code system to deliver secure personal identity applications. According to both companies, the combined facial technologies provide the smallest code size and accurate facial biometrics.

“By combining our TrueFace 2D facial biometrics with the next generation 3D facial biometrics, we are taking a giant leap forward in accuracy, speed and code size,” says David Teitelman, president and CEO of eTrue. “This opens up the market for many new applications, such as passenger verification at airport check-in desks and cutting down on benefit fraud, as well as an array of security and civil applications.” Mark Yadegar, CEO of Bio4, adds, “With facial biometrics templates now small enough to fit into printed bar codes, smart cards and other associated media, the deployment of such solutions will grow rapidly.”
