Extreme CCTV Celebrates 10th Anniversary

BELLINGHAM, Wash.

Extreme CCTV Inc., designer, developer and manufacturer of active-infrared night vision surveillance equipment, marks its 10th year of operation this year. Highlights of the company’s history include:

  • Manufactured and created a market for its surveillance cameras designed to deliver clear images in zero light conditions and harsh environments.
  • Began as a one-man start-up with no venture capitalist funding, now with installations on all seven continents ranging from homeland security to scientific research.
  • Financial achievements: Extreme CCTV set its first $10 million quarter (in Q1, 2007), looking for a 10th consecutive year of revenue growth, and seventh consecutive year of profitability.
  • Awards: Deloitte & Touche’s Technology Fast 50 four years in a row; four-time Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS) award winner.

Extreme CCTV won the “Best New Video Device” at this year’s SIA NPS at ISC West for its newly launched Black Diamond technology. Black Diamond was one of three new products the company showcased at the conference, along with the Moondance® Thermal Mic1-410 and the REG-X.

Black Diamond technology is designed to provide image quality under low-light and no-light conditions via a High-Fidelity™ series of infrared illuminators. The technology allows for proper nighttime function of video analytics.

The Moondance® Thermal Mic1-410 is a p/t/z camera system that incorporates image sensors from both the thermal infrared and visible light spectra to enable comprehensive surveillance imaging covering detection, classification, recognition and identification.

The REG-X incorporates U.S.-patented technology designed for close-range capture of license plates.

“Consistent with our 10-year history of profitable innovation, Moondance Thermal Mic1-410, REG-X and Black Diamond are set to continue our tradition of creating new market categories,” says Jack Gin, president and CEO of Extreme CCTV. “We will continue to drive the innovation of products as we enter our next decade of operation.”
