Extreme CCTV Image Sensors Being Used to Monitor Antarctic Volcano

Extreme CCTV announces that its MX4 Mechanical Filter LXR image sensors are being used to capture video surveillance of eruption sequences at Mt. Erebus, Antarctica’s most active volcano.

The resulting video is transmitted via 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz wireless links to a remote monitoring station and then relayed via satellite to the Geochronology Research Laboratory in New Mexico in the United States.
