Extreme CCTV, Silent Witness Involved in Patent Dispute
VANCOUVER
Extreme CCTV Inc., a manufacturer of infrared illuminators and video surveillance products, filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, alleging that its competitor, Silent Witness Enterprises Inc., has introduced a new product that Extreme CCTV says is “strikingly similar” to Extreme CCTV’s UF500 long-range illuminator.
In a news release, Extreme CCTV said it “intends to proactively defend its proprietary designs, intellectual property and patented technology against competitive infringement around the world.”
Silent Witness officials weren’t available to comment on the suit.
