Eyecast Corp., a technology service company that provides real-time visual access to businesses over the Internet, announces it has forged pacts with Sensormatic Electronic Corp. and Sony Electronics Inc. The accord with Sensormatic provides for the offering of Eyecast’s technology under the product name VioStar. “Sensormatic is the leading global provider of loss prevention solutions and systems to the retail industry,” says J.C. Amini, senior vice president of business development at Eyecast. “Therefore, we are extremely pleased that Sensormatic has selected the Eyecast technology.”
Jerry Kendall, Sensormatic’s executive vice president of the Americas and Global Source Tagging, adds, “Eyecast’s suite of applications goes far beyond traditional loss prevention and security concerns to provide critical data in such diverse fields as operations, merchandising, customer behavior, internal theft, customer traffic and display/end cap analysis, all of which adds up to increased revenues, reduced costs and improved productivity.”
The deal with Sony is a joint marketing alliance that will incorporate Eyecast’s technology into Sony’s On.Site Service. The On.Site service will be available immediately through Sony’s extensive network of dealers, value-added resellers and system integrators. “This alliance represents a significant endorsement of Eyecast’s technology,” adds Amini.
