The Fall 2000 Biometrics Summit, hosted by Advance Learning Institute Inc., is slated for Oct.11-13 at Embassy Suites Las Vegas. Event organizers are urging attendees to register early, as the event is expected to mirror the group’s Winter 2000 event, which was sold out. The conference program is packed with best-practice case studies from companies that have already faced the challenges and identified solutions for implementing biometric systems. Case studies from the U.S. Army, SG Wireless Communications, a Division of Safe Link Corp., and NEC Technologies Inc., highlight the series.
Attendees can expect to learn about concepts, including: cost savings through biometrics implementation; performance evaluations of a specific system; and integration of biometrics with existing PIN or card systems. Also included in the schedule is a presentation by International Biometrics Group on its comparative biometric testing for information technology security and E-commerce.
