The Farmers Insurance Group of Companies says it is
increasing its home security discount for customers in
Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin. Farmers customers in the three
states are eligible for a 3-percent discount if they have a
smoke alarm, deadbolt locks on all exterior doors
(including sliding glass doors) and a carbon dioxide (CO2)
or chemical-type fire extinguisher of at least 2 1/2
pounds.
The discount went into effect on March 16 for the Indiana
and Ohio customers, while the discount will be available to
Wisconsin customers on April 16.
