Fiber Options, a manufacturer of fiber-optic video, data and audio transmission systems, received first place in the Security Industry Association‘s (SIA) New Product Showcase at the April 4-6 International Security Conference and Exposition (ISC) Las Vegas for its S739DV video and universal up-the-coax control system.
The first round of judging consisted of a written submission, review of data sheets and product photos. All of the products were judged on their significant features, design, innovative characteristics, technological attributes and benefits to security industry buyers. Round two consisted of a second submission and an oral presentation, at the ISC Las Vegas show. Bob DeLia, Fiber Options founder, gave the oral presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.
The system accepts and transmits all major proprietary brands of up-the-coax control signals without any adjustment by the installer. It is part of the company’s new Omega line of fiber-optic links.
