Fire-Lite Alarms’ Certificate Renewal Program Helps Installers Earn CEUs

Published: February 2, 2012

NORTHFORD, Conn. — Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell has launched a training certificate program that allows fire alarm installer to qualify for continuing education units (CEUs).

Under the program, designed at customers’ requests, experienced fire alarm installers who have attended a Fire-Lite Systems training course in the past six years can renew their training certificates. The course material covers technical control panel information through a series of interactive online modules. At the end of each session, participants take a brief quiz.

Those successfully passing the online program will receive 0.7 CEUs and will become eligible to take a written final exam to earn a new training certificate, which is valid for three years.

“This program will make it easy for regular Fire-Lite dealers to renew previously obtained training certificates,” Fire-Lite Alarms Training Supervisor Tom Rosa says. “It reduces their time lost in the field to attend a three-day, instructor-led training course. And we’ve packed even more dates and locations into this year’s schedule, which includes classes for those new to Fire-Lite products as well as those seeking more advanced technical training.”
