FLIR Inks Contracts Worth $2M for Airport Security Systems

FLIR Systems Inc., a developer of infrared cameras, has received contracts worth a combined $2 million to supply its thermal security cameras at airports around the United States as part of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) perimeter intrusion detection initiative.

FLIR’s thermal and multisensor security cameras will be installed Dallas-Fort Worth, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and at New York’s Kennedy, LaGuardia, Newark and Teterboro airports.

“These orders demonstrate the unity of our system for high-level asset protection applications,” says Earl Lewis, president and CEO of FLIR Systems Inc. “We are pleased DHS and airports around the U.S. have chosen FLIR products for this important responsibility.”
