Former PSI Staffers to be Let Go

Come March, about 90 call center employees will be out of jobs after Protection Service Industries LP’s Albuquerque office closes its doors for good.

Shortly after it purchased the California-based company last month, Integrated Alarm Services Group Inc. (IASG) announced the layoffs, explaining that the functions of the call center could easily be combined with other operations of IASG.

Still, New York-based IASG, which services independent alarm dealers across the country, will continue sales and service presence in New Mexico under the name Protection Service.

Protection Service installs, monitors and services residential and commercial alarm systems in Arizona, California and New Mexico. Opened in the mid-1990s, the Albuquerque center address calls relating to its services, as well as customer questions, and handles sales and installations.
