The founder of the exclusive distributor of Samsung
security products in the U.S. has died. Former GVI Security
President and CEO Thomas Wade passed away in early May of
undisclosed causes. He was 42. Wade founded GVI in 2002
after doing sales work for Ultrak
and National Guardian.
GVI developed into a distributor that brought in more than $55 million of annual revenue before Thinking Tools Inc. purchased GVI in February 2004. Wade left GVI shortly after but still served as a shareholder to the company.
