Founder of Monitoring Automation Systems Retires From GE

IRVINE, Calif.

The founder and president of Monitoring Automation Systems (MAS) has retired from GE Infrastructure, Security. Steve Keefer retired as the president of the MAS division on June 30 after founding it more than 20 years ago.

The supplier of automation software for central stations was purchased by GE in June 2003. Keefer has remained president of MAS, now a GE division, since the sale. GE has not named a replacement for Keefer.
