TACOMA, Wash. — Systems integrator and project management company G4S Technology has earned a $2.3 million contract to provide the Port of Tacoma with access control and video management systems (VMS).

Under the contract, G4S will design and install an access control system with TWIC readers and a VMS with video analytic capabilities. G4S expects to complete the project this summer.

“Security is of utmost importance to the Port of Tacoma,” G4S Technology President Bob Sommerfeld says. “The strong G4S Technology history and solid performance in the Maritime industry will help the port realize the best solutions that will fit their unique needs. It will also help them maintain their progressive status.”
