WALKERSVILLE, Md. — Galaxy Control Systems has completed an integration between its access control products, Cloud Concierge and System Galaxy software, and the Perspective VMS from LENSEC.

The bi-directional integration between the System Galaxy platform and LENSEC’s VMS provides added functionality to both solutions, according to an announcement. Security cameras can be configured through the access control software to activate on specifically defined access system alarm activity. The video is then pushed to display through the VMS. At the next level, the Perspective VMS will display alarms and statuses generated by the access control system.

“This new integration is unique in the industry in that two manufacturers […] have created a solution with multiple ways for an end user to monitor, detect and respond to security incidents in real-time,” says Rick Caruthers, executive vice president, Galaxy Control Systems. “It’s a complete real-time security management solution for end users and security integrators, with scalability and flexibility for enterprises of all sizes.”

System Galaxy is an enterprise-class access control and security management solution. Cloud Concierge offers a suite of Cloud-based access control services offered by Galaxy Control Systems that are said to provide a range of capabilities for real-time monitoring, management and control from PCs and mobile devices.

The Perspective VMS is said to be a scalable physical security platform that provides situational awareness and the ability to monitor live or recorded video. It is appropriate for small, single-site deployments, mid-tier security projects or multisite locations, according to the company.

“We are excited about this product integration, especially given Galaxy Control Systems’ leadership in the marketplace,” says Jeff Kellick, chief product officer, LENSEC. “We continuously seek out product integrations that are advantageous to our customers and the industry, and are pleased to be able to offer this greatly expanded functionality by working with Galaxy.”
