Linear LLC of Carlsbad, Calif., introduces the MGR and MGR-R auto-sensing MegaCode format gate receivers. In the event of wrong voltage, both models are designed to eliminate the chance of damage to either a gate operator or the receivers. Linear designed both models to be auto sensing so the receivers can recognize the gate operator’s operating voltage. This procedure is automatic and internal and there are no jumpers to set.
The MGR receiver is intended for use with automatic gate operators that use a remote antenna and other devices requiring a Form C activation. This unit replaces the Linear MDRG gate receiver. The MGR-2 is a 12V to 30V, two-channel, auto-sensing gate receiver with two relays that can operate two different gates, one gate and an obstacle sensor, or two obstacle sensors. This receiver comes with a Form A relay output.
