GE Security is introducing what it says is the first-ever integrator program. Designed to do for integrators what dealer programs have done for other electronic security contractors, the GE Security Integrator Program will start in the middle part March and cater specifically to contractors who integrate security systems with other products.
“Until now, there has not been a program specifically designed to benefit security system integrators who focus primarily on commercial and enterprise customers,” says Milan Vaclavik, GE Security’s director of Channel Marketing. “This program … provides one resource for all types of security products, delivers award-winning training that sharpens sales and technical skills, and updates integrators on the newest products available.”
Like dealer programs, GE’s integrator program is designed to provide support for those who sell and install the company’s products. With its array of products beyond security systems that range from lighting, to construction equipment to energy controls, GE is a natural to start up the first integrator program according to Craig Leiser, who studies dealer programs for security industry consulting firm Sandra Jones and Co. “GE is becoming a supply source of choice for potential system integrators,” Leiser says. “It’s not exactly a marriage made in heaven, but a great engagement party.”
The program will allow integrators to be assigned a single GE Security contract without having to go through non-security product representatives. The benefits will grow for the integrator as they progress through four tiers of advancement based on product certifications, sales volume and support for multiple product lines.
In addition, those in the program will have access to GE Security’s training programs (including by internet), lead referrals, marketing support, financial support and technical support as well as special integrator events.
