Microtec Enterprises, a provider of residential security and automation services, and Hydro-Quebec, a power supplier and research company to any field connected with or related to power or energy, announce the launching of General Domotic Inc. (GD). The company’s mission is to design and distribute to the world market home automation products and systems that offer efficiency and affordability to consumers.

To mark the debut of the new company, Jean-Pierre Ouellet, president of General Domotic, has launched GD-3000 and TH-3000, first-generation integrated home automation products. “General Domotic is fortunate to have partners who are first-rate players in the two principal sectors associated with home automation: energy and security,” he says.

The distribution and installation of GD products will be handled by companies certified by GD. Microtec has already received its qualification to supply and distribute its products in Quebec. After its launch there, GD will expand its activities progressively across the rest of Canada and into the United States.
