GENERAL SOLUTIONS’ DIGIOP SYSTEM 5000 WINS SIA’s BEST OF ISC SHOW

The Security Industry Association (SIA) named General Solutions’ DigiOp System 5000 the “Best of Show” in its New Product Showcase (NPS) at the recent ISC EXPO/New York. Considered an excellent way to herald the launch of a new product, SIA’s NPS gives each entrant industry exposure at a critical time in a product’s life cycle. The NPS awards ceremony was held at the SIA booth in the Jacob Javits Convention Center on Aug. 28. Winners competed among 53 entrants in 12 categories. The Achievement Award for honorable mention went to Tellure Marketing and Distribution, for the Raceway On-A-Roll. The Product Achievement Award for access control went to Securitron Magnalock Corp., for the Mortise UnLatch® universal electronic strike for mortise locks. The Product Achievement Award for biometrics went to Bioscrypt Inc., for the V-Smart™. The Product Achievement Award for CCTV went to Crow Electronic Engineering Inc., for the MemoCam. The Product Achievement Award for False Alarm Reduction went to Excelsus Technologies Inc., for the Excelsus Technologies Alarm Filter. The Product Achievement Award for intrusion detection went to Detection Systems, for the DS720I long-range TriTech PIR/microwave detector. The Product Achievement Award for integrated systems went to Andover Controls, for the Xpress DVR integrated. The Product Achievement Award for fire detection/prevention went to ADEMCO Group, for the 5800CKT commercial wireless starter kit. The Product Achievement Award for monitoring went to Numerex, for the FastTrack wireless solution. The Judges Choice Award for Residential Products went to Fiber Options, for the RingMaster S712D universal data system.
