Global ePoint Fulfills Order for Chicago Police Department
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.
Global ePoint Inc., manufacturer of security technologies for the aviation, law enforcement, industrial and commercial markets, says its Digital Technology division will provide mobile digital video surveillance systems for the Chicago Police Department (CPD).
The Sequent Ranger 350i mobile digital video surveillance systems will provide in-vehicle front-end surveillance to a back-end server for video management, and features wireless, hands-free transfer capabilities to provide evidence that will help substantiate CPD enforcement in legal cases.
The CPD, the second largest police department in the U.S., will use Sequent in various vehicle platforms and has already integrated the solution’s video streaming capabilities into its internal Internet.
