HILLSBOROUGH, N.J. — Global Life Safety Alliance (GLSA), a nonprofit organization, has announced its formation with a mission of continuing conversations with both public and private stakeholders while addressing the current and emerging life-safety needs and practices throughout the changing global environments.

The new alliance is designed to raise the level of communication, knowledge and expertise, defining best practices to manage growing risks and concerns, according to the announcement.

Prior to GLSA’s formation there was no singular connection point for all professionals to learn about each other’s expertise and expand their service offerings, according to the announcement. The Alliance states that it will “strive to Connect, Educate and Progress the Global Life Safety & Security Industry under one united umbrella of professionals spanning every aspect of the Industry.”

Plans to develop the Alliance began in Alexandria, Va., by a group of industry professionals with a desire to provide a global platform to foster quick, simple and effective means of communication. The goal is to touch all aspects of the life-safety industry from the installers and integrators, to first responders, governmental agencies, to the testing inspection and certification labs, the product manufacturers, and other stakeholders.
