Global Guardian Creates New Division to Offer Remote Video Surveillance Services

The new Sentry division was launched in response to client requests to provide 24/7 protection in-and-around homes, offices and outdoor facilities.

MCLEAN, Va. – Global Guardian, an international provider of risk mitigation services, has launched a new division that provides remote video surveillance monitoring solutions.

The new Sentry division will be staffed by monitoring personnel who will be based here at the company’s operations center. Staffers will monitor customer locations in real-time using surveillance technology to prevent break-ins, theft and unauthorized activity at customer locations.

Within seconds of identifying intruders or unauthorized activity, Sentry can remotely give intruders verbal commands through amplified speakers installed on location, initiate an audible alarm with strobes, contact designated client representatives or alert police for local response.

“Sentry combines Global Guardian’s security expertise with best-in-class surveillance technology to provide clients with a 24-hour security solution that is more reliable and cost efficient than on-site security guards or existing video monitoring solutions,” says Michael Waterman, Sentry’s divisional president.

Sentry selects, installs and integrates all camera equipment into its operations center. All required equipment and monitoring services are provided for one monthly rate. Sentry’s surveillance platform is also compatible with and can augment customers’ existing camera systems and security & fire alarms, according to the company.
