Software firm videoNEXT, a developer of security management solutions, announces its entry into the commercial security market. The company says it will now offer its Security Knowledge Manager™ (SKM™) solution to protect facilities in the financial, healthcare, education and transportation industries.

“We have experienced significant success in the government market over the past five years,” says videoNEXT president and CEO, Joseph Costa. “We have a proven solution that has been implemented for a number of government and military organizations across the country. With security requirements increasing in schools, hospitals, airports and financial institutions, for example, we believe this is the right time for our company to expand beyond the government market.”

VideoNEXT’s SKM is an open, standards-based software solution that works with almost any IP, digital or analog camera, according to the company, and runs on any Intel or compatible server.

Costa says videoNEXT collaborates with its system integrator partners to deliver a broad range of services. Some of videoNEXT’s key partners in the commercial sector are Johnson Controls, PSA Security Network, Siemens, SigNet Technologies and SimplexGrinnell.
