On May 31, Greater Alarm Co.‘s Loomis, Calif., branch hosted an informational seminar covering significant changes to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 72, which went into effect Aug. 1. The changes impact the way electrical contractors and fire marshals design, sell, service and inspect fire alarm systems in the future. Forty Sacramento-area fire department personnel, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) and electrical contractors attended the event.
Dave Gilmore and Gene LaValle of Sentrol presented the training. Both are recognized NICET certified trainers specializing in fire and intrusion.
