GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Guardian Alarm, one of the nation’s largest privately-held security companies, announces its affiliation as a Pillar Partner for Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, a community organization that provides free emotional support for cancer patients, their families and loved ones.
As a Gilda’s Club community Pillar Partner, Southfield, Mich.-based Guardian Alarm has demonstrated its commitment by investing philanthropically in the nonprofit’s cancer and grief programs and events offered throughout the year, according to the announcement.
“We all know someone who has battled cancer, including many of our colleagues at Guardian Alarm,” says Tom Erhardt, president and COO, Guardian Alarm. “We support Gilda’s Club because we are passionate about making sure families in the fight against cancer get the support and resources they need regardless of what they can pay.”
All Gilda’s Club programs are free, and they support children, adults, families and friends on any kind of cancer journey or those grieving a death due to any cause. Gilda’s Club, named in honor of actress and comedian Gilda Radner, is run completely on donations, and all funds raised in the community stay in West Michigan.
“We couldn’t be prouder to partner with an organization that is supporting the West Michigan community in this way,” says Erhardt. “Guardian Alarm is committed to investing in the safety and well-being in the communities we serve. Supporting Gilda’s Club directly aligns with our company culture to positively impact the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.”
