Several police and fire departments were able to capture individuals in the act of burglary and save lives because of the automatic alarm system and monitoring service provided by Guardian Int’l. Various preprogrammed emergency signals were received by Guardian’s UL-Listed/FM-approved central monitoring facility, and operators quickly notified the appropriate
authorities.
“We are very excited about the speed and efficiency of our operators,” says Michelle Livingston, Guardian central station manager. “We have had successful captures in the past, but this is a record number of events in a short period of time [nine between May 3 and June 27, leading to four criminal captures and three lives being saved].”
In addition to contacting the appropriate authorities, and emergency contacts, Guardian’s staff follows up on all dispatches to determine the disposition or cause of the incident.
