Guardian Int’l Inc. reports total revenues for its fiscal year and fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2001 was $21 million, compared to $18 million in 2000 (a 14-percent increase).

Monitoring revenues also increased from $13 million in 2001 to $13 million in 2000 (a 4-percent increase). Monthly recurring revenues (MRR) grew 5 percent to $1.2 million at the end of 2001 from $1.1 million at the end of 2000.

The company recorded installation and service revenues of $7.3 million in 2001, compared to $5.4 million in 2000, an increase of 36 percent. The company says the majority of this increase was due to increases in current year installation activity. The balance of the increase was due to recognizing more deferred installation revenue in 2001 than in 2000.

Installation and service expenses increased 37 percent to $6.1 million in 2001, compared to $4.4 million in 2000. Most of the increase in installation and service expenses was a result of an increase in materials, labor and related expenses required to support the increase in installation and service revenue.
