TULSA, Okla. — With a goal of expanding its footprint here, Guardian Security Systems has purchased a block of accounts from Controller Security. Terms of the deal were not released.

The acquisition comes a few months after Guardian Security purchased accounts from Tulsa, Okla.-based NEOSAT Alarms.

“We had just completed the NEOSAT deal through Davis Mergers and Acquisitions,” Guardian Security Vice President of Dealer Operations Glenn Albers tells SSI. “This latest deal piggybacked on that. Since we’re based in Tulsa, and so is Controller, it’s the perfect fit.”

Albers declined to say how many accounts Guardian Security acquired; however, he says the company acquired a 50/50 mix of residential and small commercial accounts. As part of the acquisition, Guardian Security will offer new customers interactive services including platforms from Alarm.com, 2Gig, GE Security and Honeywell’s Total Connect 2.0.

Guardian Security is part of Central Security Group-Nationwide (CSG), a Tulsa-based security alarm monitoring services provider. With customers primarily in the Sunbelt states spanning from California to Florida, CSG has more than 150,000 customers and hopes to increase that number this year.

“CSG is constantly looking for potential acquisitions and bulk account buys,” Albers says. “We have the capital and the expertise to close any size deal, and we make the transaction an easy process for the seller.”

Another way the company plans to expand into new markets is through its “Fair and Square” dealer program. As part of the program, the company maintains that dealers will receive weekly funding and can earn up to 36X in recurring monthly revenue (RMR).

“We offer very competitive multiples,” Albers says. “We pay fast with zero holdbacks. We also offer a three-month guarantee period, whereas the competition has guarantee periods of 12 or 15 months. The personal experience we provide for the dealer can’t be matched anywhere in the industry.”
