ThreatDETECTOR, Guardian Solutions’ new product, is a small processor appliance that takes an analog video camera and turns it into an automated intelligent video surveillance camera. The product can be used for indoor or outdoor areas and comes with a web interface.
ThreatDETECTOR goes beyond traditional motion detection by learning the environment’s background movement within a scene and then differentiates unusual activity as targets. ThreatDETECTOR then alarms a central command station when a target is visible and displays all intruders’ movements on a site.
“These smaller processors simplify installation, eliminate the need for computer expertise and reduce maintenance to simple device swapping,” says James Riggs, the ThreatDETECTOR engineering manager.
