Guideline May Be Useful During Heightened Threat Level

ALEXANDRIA, Va.

In the wake of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) recent increase of the U.S. national threat level, ASIS Int’l recommends companies and security professionals re-examine the association’s Threat Advisory System Response draft guideline (TASR).

Designed to help businesses and institutions respond effectively to national threat advisories, the November 2003-drafted guideline provides step-by-step guidelines for each threat color level.

TASR is applicable to private sector manufacturers, financial institutions, healthcare providers, utilities and other groups, as well as the general public.
