Jay McLellan, president of Home Automation Inc. (HAI) was
recently elected to the position of chairman of the 2006
TechHome Division Board by the Consumer Electronics
Association (CEA). This also places McLellan on CEA’s
Executive Board.
The purpose of the TechHome Division Board is to provide
guidance with regard to benefits, services and initiatives
for integrators as well as a forum for discussing business
issues.
According to McLellan, TechHome brings innovative new
products to the marketplace, such as home theater, home
networking and home automation. The goals set for 2006 by
the TechHome Division Board includes educational programs
designed to create more technicians, advocacy for
consistent state and federal approaches to trade, as well
as general membership.
“Jay will make a wonderful chairman for the TechHome
Division, capitalizing on his leadership role at HAI and
his experience and leadership as the vice chairman of the
TechHome Division for the past two years,” says John
Tunnell, CEA’s director of member programs.

devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina on its New
Orleans headquarters.
