RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. — Hanwha Techwin America announces its new WiseNet Q Series cameras, featuring H.265 codec.

The 24 camera models in the Q Series include the company’s WiseStream compression technology, which Hanwha says balances image quality and compression based on motion within a scene.

The company also says combining the H.265 compression and the WiseStream technology reduces bandwidth consumption and storage costs compared to H.264.

The cameras come in 2-megapixel and 4-megapixel resolution. Hanwha says the video surveillance solution can be used for education, banks, retail, offices, healthcare, corporate facilities and municipal surveillance.
