Hawking Technologies Inc. of Irvine, Calif., announces its HNC290G Net-Vision Wireless-G network camera. The product joins Hawking’s existing line of network cameras, which enable users to monitor their homes, offices and other locations using a Web browser. Using UPnP technology, the company says the HNC290G is the first network camera to feature automatic router configuration via an advanced setup wizard that walks users through the set-up process.
The HNC290G supports both the wireless 802.11b/g and 10/100Mbps wired fast Ethernet standards, and can stream live video at up to 30 frames per second, according to the company. Built-in motion detection allows users to set up automatic recording and snapshot E-mailing when motion is detected. The HNC290G utilizes its own IP address, thereby eliminating the need to be attached to a PC, the company says.
