A new contactless smart card is the result of a partnership between HID Corp. and contactless chip and coupler supplier INSIDE Contactless.
HID, a supplier of readers and cards for the access control industry, says its iCLASS smart card will be optimized for multiple applications, especially enhanced access control through encryption and mutual authentication. INSIDE has provided HID over 2 million PicoPass™ chips for the manufacture of the iCLASS cards.
The 16K version of the iCLASS smart cards is compliant with several ISO standards (ISO 14443 A/B and ISO 15693).
