Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd., a supplier of digital video surveillance products, is integrating a wide range of network cameras and video encoders with the Milestone XProtect IP video management platform.
The integration is expected to offer customers high performance video quality on Hikvision’s network cameras combined with Milestone’s IP video management solutions.
A large number of Hikvision devices will be supported, including four- and one-channel video encoders DS-6104HCI and DS-6101HFI. A broad range of fixed dome cameras of the DS-2CD7xx and DS-2CD8xx series will also be supported.
Hikvision network cameras deliver quality video in real time using MPEG4/H.264 video codec and the advanced Texas Instruments DaVinci platform. The network cameras also support SDHC cards for local storage, providing non-stop recording even when the Internet is interrupted, according to the company.
