The Security Industry Association (SIA) has awarded to
Hirsch Electronics its Product Achievement Award in the
Training category. The Santa Ana, Calif.-based access
control company received the award for its Velocity™
integrated learning strategy.
“Hirsch has always been well known for top-quality
training, so it is particularly gratifying to have SIA
formally recognize Hirsch with this award,” said Scott
Chillemi, manager of Hirsch’s Learning Center, in a
statement. “Not only do we teach the entire Hirsch product
line, but our dealers also learn highly sought after IT-
related skills, enabling them to successfully implement and
manage complete systems.”
Velocity is Hirsch’s flagship security management system
software. The Velocity integrated learning strategy
provides integrators, dealers and end-users a variety of
training content and media types, enabling each student to
learn using the format most effective for him or her.
Components of the Velocity program include instructor-led
courses, E-learning tutorials, a help system embedded in
the software and paper-based reference manuals.
