LOS ANGELES – Physical security software company HiveWatch has announced Steve Hult will join the company’s leadership team as chief revenue officer (CRO).

In his new role, Hult will “spearhead the company’s sales, customer success and partnership teams,” according to the company announcement.

“What gets me so excited about joining HiveWatch is listening to security executives at world-class organizations describe all the ways we’re making their people more impactful and their facilities safer,” says Hult in the press release.

“HiveWatch’s ability to take complex, oftentimes convoluted operations and create efficient, intuitive workflows sets us apart in physical security,” he says. “I’m eager to establish a foundation for the company to meet the demand we’re seeing in the market.”

Why Steve Hult Joined HiveWatch

Hult spent the last nine years at Twitter, where he was most recently the Head of Revenue, Developer Platform and Data Licensing. In this role, he led revenue strategy and execution across new business, customer success, and channel/enterprise partnerships.

Prior to joining Twitter, Hult led sales at Gnip, a social media API aggregation company which was acquired by Twitter in 2014 for $134 million.

“As HiveWatch continues to build on its early successes, adding Steve and his experience to the company as CRO positions us to accelerate our growth in further establishing process and consistency in how we approach going to market,” said Ryan Schonfeld, Founder & CEO, HiveWatch, in the company press release.

“Steve will be instrumental in continuing to establish a strong foundation for HiveWatch as it enters the next phase of growth,” he said.

In May, HiveWatch hired Rick Guetschow as its chief technology officer to develop the company’s long-term strategy for technological implementation, contribute to data security and more.

Guetschow has more than 20 years of information security, compliance, and cybersecurity experience. Most recently, he served as information security officer at Episource, where he oversaw the vision and strategy for cloud architecture and implementation, as well as compliance oversight under HIPAA and HITRUST.
