A homeowner’s 14-camera surveillance system has helped
police identify the gunman in a recent home invasion
robbery, the Los Angeles Times reports. The
surveillance tape identified Carlos Vasquez, 20, as one of
six men seen forcing their way into the Rancho Cucamonga,
Calif., house with a gun, baseball bats and golf clubs
before bounding the home’s occupants and escaping with
$50,000 in cash, clothing and jewelry.
The police said the owner of the house and a roommate were
entertaining three women at the house. The tape indicates
the robbers followed one guest into the house after she’d
left to talk on her cellular phone.
The five other suspects have not been identified, but
police say Vasquez might drive a red, late-1980s model
Ford.
