Home Technologies Inc. completed its acquisition of Seattle-
based Metropolitan Audio Video (Metropolitan) in early
March. Metropolitan is a privately held integrator of state-
of-the-art audio/video, communications and control systems.
The company is highly respected among professional athletes
and celebrities for its designs and installations.
As part of the deal, Metropolitan will change its name to
Home Technologies-Bellevue and its staff will relocate to
the existing Home Technologies-Bellevue office.
This acquisition is the third in less than a year for Home
Technologies, preceded by the acquisitions of HREF=t_ci_newsView.cfm?nid=1749>Digitech Home Systems
and Premier Technology
Group in July and September of 2004, respectively.
Home Technologies CEO and Chairman of the Board Lee Travis
believes the acquisition will boost the capabilities of the
company to accommodate the surge in sales activity.
“[Metropolitan’s] reputation with local builders, designers
and within the celebrity segment speaks to their
professional expertise and we look forward to leveraging
their experience to accelerate growth and expand into this
important market segment,” he said.
