VENICE, Calif. – Police are searching for a home intruder who accidentally took a video selfie with the homeowner’s iPhone.
The suspect entered the Venice, Calif.-based home through an unlocked side door around 7 a.m. on July 11. Two teenage girls and one woman were asleep in the home at the time, CBS News reports.
While in the home, the unnamed man took an iPhone with him. The suspect unknowingly activated a video application on the phone, which captured a clear image of his face, The Inquisitr reports.

The suspect then fled the home with the iPhone; however, homeowner Drew Rosen was able to access the video remotely and send it to police.
The Los Angeles Police Department has released the video to the public in hopes that someone can identify the suspect.
